Wedding Dresses can be extremely pricy! It's good to plan ahead and save the money necessary to buy the wedding dress of your dreams because it would be disappointing to wear a dress you didn't really like on your special day.
The average cost of a machine-made wedding dress from a large retailer is about $500. If you want a gown with hand detailing, you could be looking at prices between $2000 and $4000. And designer gowns custom-made for the bride are usually no less than $6000.
Remember, all wedding dresses will need some tailoring and this can add to the overall price of the dress. An extra $100 to $200 should be budgeted for alterations, as these may have to be made more than once.
Look at your budget and decide what you can afford. Most brides can find their dream dress at a price that is right for them.
