Tips to choose right color of wedding dresses and How does a renewal vow wedding or a second wedding suppose to go

Let’s just put it this way, your wedding motif is red. Your wedding favors are the same shade of red, your mom’s plus size wedding attire is even red! Then you decide to go off and add a despicably obvious apply green sash to your otherwise pristine wedding dress. Horrendous is the best word for it.

Choosing the colors to accentuate your wedding dresses seems pretty easy. Predictably enough, most brides pick out their favorite shade out of the palette, without giving their wedding motif much consideration.

Pink, red, fuchsia, burgundy, plum, mauve, purple, or blue, you name it. It actually does not matter what shade you would accentuate your wedding dresses with, as long as it is in the same color family as your chosen motif for your wedding. The key here is to leaf through a variety of color combinations and patterns. Bridal magazines are the best medium by which to look for wedding dresses. They portray wedding dresses of various designs, color combinations and color patterns.

Here are a few tips that might help you out in choosing the right colors to accentuate your wedding dresses:

1. As mentioned above, choose colors that complement your wedding’s motif. The closer the shade of your wedding dresses’ accents to your motif, the better.

2. Consider how the color of your choice will look on your wedding dresses. White may be neutral, but it doesn’t mean that anything goes with white. For instance, choosing a chocolate brown sash or a dirt brown bow may not work well for you or your wedding dress. Instead of looking special, you will end up looking dowdy.

3. Think about how your accentuated wedding dresses will look with the other wedding accessories. Will the accents stick out like a sore thumb? You may have picked out a shade that basically belongs to the same family as your wedding theme. Your wedding theme lilac. You chose to accentuate your wedding dress with a deep purple sash. Note, deep purple, the color of mourning. That is not good at all.

4. It is good to be daring. In fact, the best inventions in this world emerged because a lot of people were audacious enough to try new things. However, this does not always apply to your wedding dresses’ color combinations, or color patterns for that matter. Plaid, checkered or stripes will never work in a wedding. Leopard prints, zebra prints or giraffe prints will produce worse effects. Imagine how horrifying it would be for your guests. Unless of course, your venue is the public zoo.

5. Here is a very good piece of advice, check out the venue of your wedding and your wedding reception. Take a look at the curtains, carpet and the tablecloths. Make sure the accents to your wedding dresses are not the same shade as those. Save yourself the embarrassment.

6. Sequins look great on wedding dresses. However, covering up nearly half of your wedding dresses is certainly not a good idea. Whatever the color of the sequins is, they should not be overbearing. Sequins are meant to accentuate your wedding dresses, not to cover it up.

How does a renewal vow wedding or a second wedding suppose to go?

we never had a wedding, just the court house. My husband says since we’re already married we can’t have a wedding. I disagree, because we have the marriage, but never had a wedding or a honeymoon. How should the ceremony go. Can we still get married in catholic church?

Answer
You can still have a wedding its renewing the vows. My hubby and I got married in vegas and everything for something quick and fun. Now almost 2 years later we are going to have our renewing of the vows which to everyone whom did not come to our little wedding (which is the whole family) will get to be apart of it no matter what. You can choose to renew your vows anywhere and can change them how you seem fit. We are writing our own vows and everything and are going to have fun with this wedding and actually have a honeymoon. (didnt have one either even though we were in vegas, plus he had to leave for iraq)

In all just plan your renewing just like you would have your real wedding and remember to have fun.

ps dont listen to the person above me, you dont have to move one with your life, the furture is there for a reason, so make the most of it.

Make Your Own Wedding Invitations and What are some good wedding websites that give tips and hints on things to make for your own wedding

Posted by: admin

April 10th, 2011 >> Wedding Deals & Specials

Wedding invitations whether handmade or ready made – should be warm, simple and welcoming. In case you want to make your own wedding invitations, then this article will help you to make beautiful and unique wedding invitations on your own. They cost less, they look great and most of all – they are completely original! Here are all things you need to consider while making you own wedding invitations. First of all you need to have a clear picture of how you want your wedding invitations to be – simple cards, accessorized cards or out-of-the-box invitations.

The Wedding Card Layout

Well the wedding card layout includes the entire design of the wedding card. Remember that you need to have a very specific vision before you get started on making your own wedding cards. You want to be sure about the color of the cards, the shape of the cards, the envelopes and most importantly the content of the card. Make sure you sit and finalize every single element of the card in order to avoid any arguments after the cards are ready. Remember that only when you have finalized all the details of the cards – including the number of the cards and the wedding guest list – can you start the process of making the cards.

Choosing the Right Paper

If you want to make simple wedding cards, you need to get started with the colors and the paper texture that you will need. Make sure you get a paper that is firm enough and yet not as thick as a cardboard. You can even opt for handmade papers, fragrant papers that make the wedding invitation extra-special. You should always use a sharp paper cutter and cut the paper in bunches in order to maintain uniformity to the wedding invitations. Buy sheets of paper, which are suitable for writing – with respect to the texture as well as the color of the paper.

Wedding Card Shapes and Envelopes

Wedding cards can be of any shape that you want. Although traditionally used shapes like rectangle, square might seem conventional and elegant, there are always couples that want to bring in an element of innovation into their wedding cards. If you want to add a bit of novelty to your cards, try wedding cards that are shaped like the wedding cake, or the bride and groom silhouette, or even wedding bells. Try and make the envelopes a bit innovative as well.

Wedding Card Invitation Content

The wedding card invitation needs to have a crisp and precise content. First and most importantly it should clearly mention the details of the wedding ceremony like the wedding date, wedding venue and the timing. In addition to this, you might also want to add directions to the venue in the form of a small map. An extra card for the guests to respond back and confirm their presence known, as the RSVPs should also be included. Once you have mentioned these details you can add a small poem verse or a wedding quotation to make the message special. However, make sure that you don’t try and stuff too much content into a small space, so that the invitation doesn’t seem cluttered.

Writing the Content – Printing or Calligraphy

As for the writing part of the invitations, you can use conventional screen-printing techniques or use good old computer for printing out the content. Printing is a preferred option because it brings uniformity to font and hence makes the invitation look elegant. However, if you or any of your family members/friends are well versed with the art of calligraphy, you can always get the messages hand-written in a beautiful calligraphic script!

Wedding Card Decorations

Once all these things are in place, it is time to show some creativity and add a sprinkling of decorations to the card. Accessorize your card with some glitter, artificial flowers, miniature wedding bells, satin laces and pretty bows. Make sure that the decorations suit the color of the card. Also make sure that you don’t get carried away with the decorations so much that the decorations overshadow the content of the invitation. Keep it simple and elegant!

So now that you know all about creating your own wedding invitations at home, you can get started and make your own wedding invitations! If you find you want an easier way out, then there are a large number of Do-It-Yourself (DIY) wedding invitation kits, which will help you with the process. No matter what you do, remember that weddings are matters of the heart and hence send out every invitation with a genuine and warm feeling and invite the people to be a part of this beautiful day to make it truly memorable and special!

Utah Weddings are beautiful and special moments and How to address wedding invitations to single friends and family members

Posted by: admin

April 1st, 2011 >> Wedding Deals & Specials

Weddings are beautiful and special moments. They can be sometimes difficult to plan as well, especially the reception. But with the Utah Reception Center, your reception can be just as much as a dream! It’s possibility to have the wedding of your dreams. Of course, there are a lot to things to consider for your dream reception. This can include location, entertainment, music, food, and drinks. You may want to consider what kind of traditions you may want or not want. This article will help you in figuring it all out.

First, the most important thing to consider is location. Without location, you won’t have a reception, unless you’re planning to have your reception in your backyard. There are plenty of receptions centers in Utah, like ours that you can choose from. It just depends on what part of Utah you want to have your reception located. Do you want it to be close to home or close to your wedding? Or, do you prefer having it in the mountains? Maybe you want your reception party to overlook the sun setting over the mountain tops. What a nice touch that would make to your wedding! You can have your reception just about anywhere you like. Even if you’re travelling out of Utah! It’s all up to you and what you and your groom wants.

With the location decided, you can start focusing on food. What kind of meals do you want to serve? Chicken and steak are the most common meals to have. But you do have to consider some other factors. Are there guests that have food allergies? Maybe some are vegans or vegetarians. What about those picky kids? What are they going to eat? You have to also consider what kind of drinks you’re going to have along with your meals. Wine and champagne just won’t do for obvious reasons. Most importantly, you do have to consider your wedding cake! What kind of wedding cake is going to be at your Utah Reception Center? The bride and groom should have this decided by now. There are a lot of factors to consider with your wedding cake, including food allergies. Some people may be allergic to eggs, dairy, and nuts.

Along with food, you have to consider drinks. And it’s not just the non-alcohol drinks. What kind of alcohol drinks are you going to have at your wedding? Is it just going to be wine and champagne, or will you offer beer as well? Will there be an open bar or closed bar? There are risks to take with open bars. Family members and friends can take as many drinks as they want. This could cause people to become rowdy and obnoxious. Do you mind having this at your wedding reception? More importantly, can you trust your family enough to not over drink?

Now, we’ll discuss entertainment. There is a variety of entertainment you could have at your wedding reception. This includes a DJ, live band, or singer. Think about what kind of entertainment you want at your wedding. This all depends on your music style. Do you like slow, romantic tunes, or would you rather have everyone dancing? DJs are the most popular at weddings. The whole family can get together and have fun. You will capture a lot of special moments with a DJ around. What’s more fun than having everyone dancing at the Utah Reception Center!

Along with entertainment, you should seriously consider what kind of music you want. This includes what kind of songs you want to have played. What song will you and your groom dance to the first time around? You should both pick a song that best represents your relationship. Most couples will pick a song that they share together. Either it’s a song they’ve danced to, or just reminds them of their relationship. You should consider the rest of the music that’s going to be played as well. Do you want dance music or a lot of romantic songs? Maybe you want a mixture of both. Be aware that some people feel uncomfortable when romantic music is constantly being played. They may feel left out because they don’t have a date with them. It’s best to make everyone feel comfortable and included on the celebration.

You have to consider having some traditions at your reception. This can include having speakers and throwing the bouquet. It’s a lot to decide, but it will make the most for your Utah Reception Center!

How to address wedding invitations to single friends and family members?

I am in the process of addressing invitations for my wedding. My fiance has several cousins that are in relationships, we’re not a 100% sure which ones, and we are inviting several friends who wont know many people at the wedding.

I would like to give everyone an option who is single to bring a date. However, I don’t really want to write and Guest on all of the invitations, and have people start searching for a date to bring.

What should I write, so that I do not offend anyone, and give everyone who wants to bring a date the opportunity to do so.

Answer
You just write “and guest” if you’re not sure someone’s in a relationship. If they want to bring a date, or have a handy boyfriend/girlfriend that you don’t know about, they will bring someone. If they don’t feel like looking for a date, 95% of them will understand that “and guest” means “you have the option to bring someone, but you don’t have to.” The 5% that are really stupid/clueless aren’t worth worrying about, because there’s really nothing you can say that will make it clearer for them.

If you know that Cousin Sally has a long-time boyfriend but can’t remember his name, just call up and say “Hey, we’re addressing wedding invitations and I wanted to include your boyfriend on yours. Could you spell his name for me so I can be sure it’s correct? Thanks.” No one will be offended that you ask – most people will find it very thoughtful that you’re taking the time to get it right.
